Majority of Carlsbad Residents Earned Money Back their SDG&E Bills

Credits were given to residents who used less energy between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on "Reduce Your Use" days in August.

Frank Urtasun with SDG&E proudly announced Friday that 78 percent of Carlsbad-area SDG&E clients earned money back on their latest bill for reducing their use of energy on specific days.

In total, $205,000 was given back to Carlsbad residents and businesses.

Besides monetary credits, the air is cleaner thanks to the efforts of those who cut back on energy use, said Urtasun who added, "Carlsbad residents and businesses helped remove the equivalent of 2,000 cars from the road."
