Safety Fencing Installed at all CUSD Elementary Schools

You need to pass the bar if you want to enter elementary school. At least, elementary schools like in Carlsbad.

The school is among four others in the that got new fencing this summer. 

got new gates while , (where the took place), and Buena Vista received ornamental fencing.

At Buena Vista, bars encase the school, funneling all visitors through the office. The bars also have what is called "panic hardware" which allows for easy egress from the school in case of an emergency.

According to Assistant Superintendent, Business Services , "This now puts fencing around all elementary schools within our district. The other fencing at the other schools is a mixed bag. Some have chain link and others have ornamental iron."
