Work continues on the new Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa as construction reaches the "topping off" the building. The $80 million project is adding much needed stimulus to the Southern California economy. Slated to open June 2012, the resort has a prime location overlooking Carlsbad State Beach and is operated by WaveCrest Hotels & Resorts.

Opening summer 2012, Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa will enjoy a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean along Carlsbad State Beach. Modeling the California Craftsman style, the property will feature 215 guest rooms including eight suites. Amenities will include an expansive ocean view swimming pool, first-class dining at Chandler's Restaurant, full-service Ocean Crest Spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center and over 25,000 square-feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and banquet facilities. The resort is located at the corner of Carlsbad Boulevard and Ponto Drive in Carlsbad, Calif.
