Pharmaca Integrative Gift Bags to Support Mitchell Thorp Foundation

Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy in Carlsbad has chosen Mitchell Thorp Foundation (MTF) as the recipient of their annual Holiday Gift Bag Donation Program. The program offers the community an opportunity to purchase much-needed wellness and personal care products during the holiday season that will be distributed to MTF families, whose children suffer from life-threatening illnesses, diseases and disorders. The Holiday Gift Bag program works by having Pharmaca staff members filling gift bags with all natural personal care items, necessities like diapers and body wash, and fun holiday gifts—all of which are handpicked for the MTF families. Pharmaca staff members then assemble the bags and make them available for purchase, in denominations of $10, $15 or $25, throughout November and December. Pharmaca will deliver the gift bags to MTF around December25.

Last year, Pharmaca, a nationwide integrative pharmacy, facilitated the donation of $68,000 worth of wellness goods to charities across its 24 stores nationwide.

“The Holiday Gift Bag program offers us a way to provide some of Pharmaca’s favorite products and gifts to the Mitchell Thorp Foundation, which is supporting families in the community we serve,” said Eric Bandner, Carlsbad Pharmaca’s general manager. “It’s also a great way to inform our customers about the important work the Foundation is doing. We look forward to continuing to grow our donationseach year.”

Gift bags are available for purchase in Pharmaca stores now through December 23.  For more information contact Beth Thorp at beth@mitchellthorp.org or Carlsbad Pharmaca Store Manager Eric Bandner at 760-444-3800.

The Mitchell Thorp Foundation is a public 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that supports families in North County and San Diego County, whose children suffer from life-threatening illnesses, diseases and disorders. For more information about the Foundation visit mitchellthorp.org.

Aristotle felt that by becoming licensed professionals in the U.S. shortly after their arrival to the shores of the U.S., they would have a greater opportunity to receive better clinical positions when they applied for the work-study internships that they were eligible to participate in....' the school told students that were enrolled in masters' degrees that certification as a cna was part of the road to obtaining a masters degree ?? stop right there... masters in public health is an administrative position that has nothing to do with being a cna....and i'm sure people didn't travel thousands of miles to do the grunt work in a hospital.... yea, getting a cna license is a great suggestion for an 18 year old that's going into the nursing field....but not for someone in the masters' program.... and fyi phony college.....in this country a person has to have a 4 year degree before they can apply for the masters' program....
