On April 17th, Happy Hour Politics gathered at The Crossings in Carlsbad for a well-received event featuring Kristin Gaspar, Encinitas City Council member. Kristin presented the group with a lively discussion of existing and proposed city rules and regulations that affect our personal decisions and choices. Her effective use of “props” drove the points home and thoroughly engaged the audience!
Happy Hour Politics brings together all women and men to socialize and be informed about current issues. Cathy Bochenko, a co-chair of the group, states: “Everyone is welcome to join us monthly at The Crossings. The next event is on Thursday, May 15th, which should be especially interesting when Brad Dacus, President of the Pacific Justice Institute, will speak on his organization’s efforts to defend religious freedom, parental rights, and other civil liberties.”
The Happy Hour Politics events are held from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at The Crossings, 5800 The Crossings Dr, Carlsbad. There is a $15 cash cover charge (includes appetizers). Drinks are available for purchase. For more information, call Melanie Burkholder at 307-690-7814 or email hhpcbad@gmail.com.
