Saving the Bread of Life Rescue Mission

Help me CrowdSource the Bread of Life Rescue Mission

I am appealing for help in keeping the doors open at the Bread of Life Rescue Mission in Oceanside, CA. Right now this funding is critical. In the late 90s, my husband and I had a vision to help the homeless and the poor. To nourish the body, the spirit and to bring the Word of God to all in our sphere of influence. That was our mission.

Here’s what I’m asking—and praying for. Would you be willing to  give up something you treat yourself with once a week or once a month? Maybe that Starbucks latte, an upscale burger, or the price of a movie ticket or super large popcorn.

It’s about quantity. Send a check, money order or donate with your PalPal account, right from their website. Make it $5, $10, or gather your friends and make it several thousands. Please help keep Bread of Life open so the love of Jesus may continue to be shared at the Mission.

The Mission offers Sunday Chapel services, case management, counseling, housing and recovery referral service, nightly to-go lunches, food bags for working poor, over night winter shelter, clothing and bus passes.

Although we are retired, Bread of Life continues and today occupies one entire side of a strip mall in Oceanside CA. Bread of Life serves dinner six nights a week and operates a winter shelter. They collect and distribute an enormous amount of food to the community in need—you would be amazed at the huge number of seniors and families who depend on this generosity.
