SDSU Offers Contract Management Courses

The Professional Certificate in Contract Management/Advanced Contract Management program through SDSU’s College of Extended Studies is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of the key concepts associated with the pursuit and management of contracts.

This career-enhancing program has registration available in four courses that start during October, including:

Financial Management of Government Contracts, Tuesdays, Oct. 15-Nov. 19, 6-9 pm

This course covers what students need to know to establish an accounting system that can be audited for a government contract and financially manage the contract once it is awarded.

Sourcing and Cost/Price Analysis, Wednesdays, Oct. 16-Nov. 20, 6-9 pm

The emphasis of this course is on how to maximize the use of adequate price competition in the source selection process.

 

Contract Types and Effective Contracting Methodologies (online), Oct. 21-Dec. 8

This class is designed to provide a working knowledge of contract types, grants, and successful contracting methods.

 

Fundamentals of the FAR (online), Oct. 21-Dec. 8

The objective of this course is to prepare students to use the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to solve federal contract management issues.

This Professional Certificate in Contract Management/Advanced Contract Management program is offered in cooperation with the San Diego Chapter of the National Contract Management Association.
