La Costa Glen, the retirement community in Carlsbad, hosted a “Salute to Our Firefighters” to thank the Carlsbad Fire Department for their bravery and dedication in fighting the recent Poinsettia and Cocos Fires. Fire Chief Mike Davis and several firefighters attended the afternoon gathering where La Costa Glen residents and staff had a chance to meet the firefighters and express their appreciation.
La Costa Glen Director of Safety Glenn Thomas said the event was also designed to thank the fire department staff for their ongoing efforts to keep La Costa Glen residents and the greater Carlsbad area safe.
“We are grateful to have such a compassionate, caring group of firefighters representing our area,” he said. “We look upon them as our community partners.”
