The Carlsbad Charitable Foundation Welcomes New Board Chair and Members

The Carlsbad Charitable Foundation (www.carlsbadcharitablefoundation.org), an affiliate of The San Diego Foundation (www.sdfoundation.org), is pleased to announce Pam Valinet as Incoming Board Chair and to welcome Dale Isaacs as a new Board member and Grants Committee Chair.

 

“I am delighted for the opportunity to lead our foundation,” Valinet said. “I joined the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation in order to pool my resources with my neighbors and have a greater impact on our community. I look forward to working with my fellow Board members over the next year and increasing our work in Carlsbad.”

Pam Valinet is an Organizational Change Consultant and private business owner.  She has been a consultant for companies as diverse as First Hawaiian Bank and SDG&E. Pam has been a member of the Board since 2011and served as the Chair of the McLaughlin Grants Subcommittee and the Grants Committee’s Impact subcommittee. .

Dale Isaacs is a CPA and partner in the accounting firm Reid, Sahm, Isaacs & Schmelzlen, LLP. Her practice primarily focuses on retirement and estate tax planning as well as financial consulting for individuals and business owners.

 

“I’m excited to join the CCF Board and to have the opportunity to lead the Grants Committee,” Isaacs noted. “During my time on the Committee, I’ve been able to get to know the nonprofit community in Carlsbad and I look forward to strengthening that relationship as the Committee Chair.”

 

Founded in 2006, the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation (CCF) has more than 105 members who pool their resources on an annual basis to address needs in Carlsbad.  The purpose of CCF is to meet Carlsbad’s emerging needs by encouraging and increasing responsible and effective philanthropy by and for the benefit of all who live, work, learn and play in Carlsbad. To date, the CCF has granted more than $425,000 to organizations serving Carlsbad citizens and has raised close to $500,000 in a community endowment that will support Carlsbad’s needs in perpetuity.
