Book Lovers Invited to Better Books Sale

The Friends of the Carlsbad Library's Better Books Sale on Oct. 20 and 21 features hundreds of great books at bargain prices.

Book lovers and bargain hunters, get ready! The Friends of the Carlsbad Library Better Books Sale kicks off this Saturday, Oct. 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Georgina Cole Library’s Community Room, located at 1250 Carlsbad Village Drive. The sale continues on Sunday, Oct. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Hundreds of great books will be available for sale, including coffee table, children’s, cookbooks and much more.  "The Better Books Sale allows us to offer many of our finer books at once, finding new homes for special volumes and making more money to support such library programs as Carlsbad Reads Together and the Summer Reading Program,” explains Taffy Cannon, Friends of the Library President. “And part of the excitement, of course, is that you never know what treasures you might come across at one of these sales."

Shoppers are encouraged to arrive early for the best selection. All books are half price on Sunday. As an added bonus, the Carlsbad Garden Club is partnering with the Friends of the Library and will sell plants outside the Cole Library. Visit your library this weekend for two great sales in one day.

'...MPH degree program to attend a 3-day workshop ... challenge the CNA licensure examination inRead More California.... ... Aristotle felt that by becoming licensed professionals in the U.S. shortly after their arrival to the shores of the U.S., they would have a greater opportunity to receive better clinical positions when they applied for the work-study internships that they were eligible to participate in....' the school told students that were enrolled in masters' degrees that certification as a cna was part of the road to obtaining a masters degree ?? stop right there... masters in public health is an administrative position that has nothing to do with being a cna....and i'm sure people didn't travel thousands of miles to do the grunt work in a hospital.... yea, getting a cna license is a great suggestion for an 18 year old that's going into the nursing field....but not for someone in the masters' program.... and fyi phony college.....in this country a person has to have a 4 year degree before they can apply for the masters' program....
