Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary Club Recognizes High School Students

Carlsbad High School students attended a conference and were recognized for their academic successes.

The fifth annual Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary AVID Conference was held at the Hilton Garden Inn and was attended by 61 Carlsbad High School AVID Students.

AVID is anacronym for “Advancement Via Individualized Determination”, and is a program thathas helped thousands of students rise above the obstacles they face to achieve academic success.

Five speakers successful in their chosen professions centered their comments on their journey to success and the importance of determination and focus to achieve their goals.

The six students pictured were selected to receive special Avid achievement recognition certificates.
