The twice-a-year Carlsbad tradition is back and it’s just in time for holiday shopping.
The is hosting yet another this weekend. The faire, which takes pace in spring and fall, is a one day affair that attracts an extremely large group of people and is the largest single-day festival in the nation, according to the Chamber’s website.
More than 900 vendors and exhibitors will line the streets of Carlsbad Village to offer you a number of crafts, gifts, houseware and more. You can browse the streets for Christmas gifts—there will be something for everyone here. If you get hungry while you shop, there are plenty of food options, both seasonal and ethnic, and some sweet treats to get you in the holiday spirit.
You can even take the kiddos along with you. The faire will keep them entertained for you with arts and crafts, games and rides, a super slide, bounce houses, face painting and more. A pancake breakfast, with sausage and orange juice, will kick off the day at 7 a.m. and continue through noon.
The Village Street Faire is an all day event on Sunday, going from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.in the Village. To help avoid traffic congestion and parking issues, the North County Transit District (NCTD) is offering 2-for-1 fares on the COASTER. NCTD will add three more round-trip routes to their Sunday service specifically for the event.
There will be two shuttle stops with direct bus service to the faire. You can park at the (west of the Sears) and at the .
