Christmas in July at South Carlsbad State Beach

Have free fun for the whole family and maybe even win a week of oceanfront camping at San Elijo or.

Get in the spirit of “Christmas in July” at South Carlsbad on July 28. The fourth annual “Christmas in July” benefit at South Carlsbad State Beach is a key fundraiser for Friends of Cardiff & Carlsbad State Beaches non-profit association to help the beaches. 

Christmas in July events for the family include a parade with Santa Claus through the South Carlsbad campground; games for the children; photo opportunities with Santa Claus and Santa’s Elves; and an evening campfire event where the Grand Prizes will be announced. You don't have to be camping at the park to attend. Park for free at South Carlsbad State Beach if you buy two prize drawing tickets for $10 or 5 for $20. Stop by San Elijo or South Carlsbad campgrounds to see any Camp Host to buy drawing tickets in advance.

All of the proceeds go to fund the beaches non-profit Friends of Cardiff & Carlsbad State Beaches, which supports San Elijo and South Carlsbad. Lucky winners will get one-week free oceanfront camp sites at either South Carlsbad or San Elijo State Parks. Each “Free Week of Camping” prize for an oceanfront campsite is worth $400, donated by California State Parks.
