Free Workout in Carlsbad: Black Sage Trail
If your New Years Resolution is to get in shape, try getting fit outdoors. No crowds and no enrollment fees.
The Black Sage Trail in Aviara is about a 40 minute walk with some hills and stairs to climb.
Finding the trail head and where to park can be confusing. There is a part of hike where the trial stops on a street and you need to either walk up or down the street to get back on the trail. Best parking is on Docena Road off Ambrosia Lane.
From the trail you have views of San Marcos, Encinitas, Batiquitos Lagoon and even Black Mountain.
