GIA Fair Provides Shiny Outlook for Careers

A career fair on Friday will present opportunities in the gem and jewelry fields.

A job's a job's a job, right? Not anymore. A career fair tomorrow in Carlsbad is offering great opportunities for first-timers or mid-life job changers.

The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is holding a on Friday. People with a love for jewels and diamonds or just looking for a new job can come and see the various open positions at some of the most recognized companies in the jewel industry.

There are spots for sales and marketing, appraisals, sales associates, managerial positions, diamond buyers, customer service, jewelry repair, gemologists and more. More than 27 companies will be at the fair, like Tiffany & Co. and Zales, and local jewelers like . and Beads, Crystals and More. Click here for a list of all of the companies that are hiring.

Aside from browsing the job opportunities, you’ll get practical insight for directing your talent and creativity and learn about current hiring trends.
