Go ‘Beyond Rain of Gold’ with Victor Villaseñor

Local author will launch his newest book at Carlsbad City Library on March 31.

Did you miss Victor Villaseñor's last visit to Carlsbad City Library? You can catch him on Thursday, March 31 at 7 p.m. as he discusses his newest book, Beyond Rain of Gold, at the Library's Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium.

Beyond Rain of Gold is the behind-the-scenes story of how Villaseñor came to write and publish his national bestseller Rain of Gold. Taking readers from Mexico to Carlsbad, Rain of Gold is a timeless romance about a volatile bootlegger, who would become Villaseñor's father, and the beautiful Lupe, Villaseñor's mother.

In addition to Rain of Gold, Victor Villaseñor is the author of the acclaimed books Burro Genius and Thirteen Senses: A Memoir. His other non-fiction works include Crazy Loco Love, Wild Steps of Heaven and Jury: The People vs. Juan Corona, and the screenplay to the award-winning film The Ballad of Gregorio Cortez. Villaseñor lives in Oceanside.
