Legoland Rolls Out the Red Carpet Thursday for Star Wars Actress Carrie Fisher and Other Celebrities

The grand opening of Legoland's Star Wars Miniland will be a real star-studded event.

Actress Carrie Fisher, known for her iconic role of Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy came to Carlsbad Thursday to take part in the grand-opening ceremony for at Legoland California. 

Other celebrities walked the red carpet including Christian Slater, Nolan Gould from Modern Family, , Gail O’Grady, Tony Hawk, Gina Lee Nolan, and more.

For the celebrity-studded grand opening, Fisher placed the final Lego model with the help of Carson Weiner, a 9-year-old boy who has Leukemia. Through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Carson was able to fulfill his wish last year by coming to Legoland California and spending time with Master Model Builder Gary McIntire. Fisher and Carson will be joined by two cast members from Star Wars: The Clone Wars: James Arnold Taylor, who voices Jedi masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Plo Koon, and Catherine Taber, who voices Padmé Amidala.
