Local Children Donate More Than 400 Toys to Rady Children's Hospital

The North County students, ages 13-18, donated the toys on behalf of Carlsbad's Mitchell Thorp Foundation.

More than 400 new toys recently were recently donated by the Mitchell Thorp Foundation Junior Advisory Board to patients at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego. Three student representatives delivered large storage bins filled with stuffed animals to the Rady Children’s.

The donation was on behalf of the Mitchell Thorp Foundation, (MTF), as part of it's ongoing “Angels of Love, Hope & Joy, xoxoxo” project to comfort sick children in local hospitals.

The student group was formed last November to provide the youth with a worthwhile community service program. They have already donated hundreds of toys to Tri City Hospital in Oceanside as well.
