San Diego County Gas Price Drops to Lowest Level in 9 Months

And, the price is 47.5 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

Gasoline prices in San Diego County dropped to their lowest level in nine months today, down six-tenths of a cent to $3.745.

West Coast refineries are all operating normally, and have switched to winter gas blends, which have increased supplies and pushed prices down, an analyst said.

The average price has decreased for 37 of the past 39 days and is 4.2 cents less than one week ago, 20.4 cents lower than one month ago and 47.5 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

"Heading into November and December, there should be more downward pressure on gas prices provided there are no refinery issues or other incidents because those months see lower fuel demand and the cheaper winter blend of fuel is being sold in California," Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California said.
