NEW VILLAGE ARTS: 60-MINUTE SHAKESPEARE

  • What's Up: New Village Arts Theatre will take the audience through an adaption of Shakespeare's play Macbeth. The performance will feature six actors in a 60 minute adaption of the classic play.
  • When: 7 p.m. on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4. 
  • Where:  Schulman Auditorium, Dove Library, 1775 Dove Ln, Carlsbad.
  • Price: Free. 

MIRACOSTA COLLEGE ANNUAL CAR AND MOTORCYCLE SHOW

  • What's Up: Attention car fanatics, MiraCosta College will host its third Annual Car and Motorcycle Show. The event will also feature live music, food, drinks, competitions and more. 
  • When: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. 
  • Where: Parking Lots 1A and 2A, MiraCosta College 1 Barnard Dr, Oceanside.
  • Price: Free.

OCEANSIDE JAZZ FESTIVAL CONCERT

  • What's Up: Enjoy an evening of non-stop musical fun. Oceanside Jazz Festival will conclude with Grammy winning saxophonist Ernie Watts with the Jazz Collective and MOJO. 
  • When: 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. 
  • Where: Concert Hall, MiraCosta College 1 Barnard Dr, Oceanside. 
  • Price: $15-$20. 

CARLSBAD VILLAGE FAIRE

  • What's Up: Browse through over 850 vendors and booths at the Carlsbad Village Faire. Vendors include arts, crafts, clothing, antiques and more. 
  • When: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 5. 
  • Where: Carlsbad Blvd & Carlsbad Village Dr, Carlsbad.
  • Price:  Free. 

ROBIN ADLER AND MUTTS OF THE PLANET

  • What's Up: The first Sunday Music Series will feature jazz musicians, Robin Adler and Mutts of the Planet. The concert will take the audience through a journey through Joni Mitchell's music. 
  • When: 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 5. 
  • Where: Encinitas Library,  540 Cornish Dr, Encinitas. 
  • Price: Free
