Super Summer Book Sale Aug. 5 and 6

Support a great cause by shopping at the Sale Aug. 5 and 6.

"We've never had a sale quite like this before, with everything from collectible comic books to local historical art," says Taffy Cannon, President of the Friends of the Library. "This is an amazing array of merchandise, much of it in perfect, pristine condition. The mainstay, as always, is books. We have old ones, new ones, magnificent coffee table art books, kids books and games, signed first editions, leather-bound classics, cookbooks for every taste, and a great selection of vintage historical newspapers and magazines." 

The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Shoppers are advised to come early for the best selection. The sale continues on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m., and most items will be half-price. The sale takes place at , located at 1775 Dove Lane.

The Friends of the Carlsbad Library, created in 1957, is a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to raising funds to support Carlsbad City Library programs and services.
