Library hosts Local Authors' Festival Feb. 12

Find your next great read at Carlsbad City Library’s third annual Local Authors’ Festival on Saturday, Feb. 12. Carlsbad and North County authors will participate in a panel discussion at the library’s Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a book sale and signing event in the library’s courtyard until 1 p.m. The panel will be moderated by Carlsbad mystery author Taffy Cannon.

"I really appreciate the opportunity to take part in the Local Authors’ Festival at the Carlsbad Library,” said North County resident Joe Tash. “I will be talking about my book, Dear Guests, Beware of Wild Monkeys, which is both a travelogue about my family's round-the-world trip and a practical guide for families with children who dream of taking such a trip themselves.  This event will help me get the word out about my book, while showcasing the literary efforts of North County residents. It's a great thing when people gather together to celebrate books!"

Bridget Smith agrees. “As a Carlsbad mom, author and blogger I always enjoy participating in library programs with my kids.  I was honored to be invited to join this panel,” said Smith. “I look forward to sharing some tips on how local families can take advantage of our proximity to Legoland and hearing the fascinating stories my fellow authors have to share.”
