Whale Spotted Off Carlsbad Coast
At least five people confirmed seeing a whale jump out of the water between Cannon Road and Tower 31 in Carlsbad.
In the photo there is a tiny speck of white from the whale expelling air through the blowhole.
I saw the whale breach while out for a walk around 11:45 a.m. Thursday across from the power plant in Carlsbad, but unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to get it on camera.
