Accomplished Carlsbad Performer Taryn Donath Gives Free Concert

Swing into spring with Taryn Donath Duo's eclectic jazz performance on March 10 at Georgina Cole Library.

Funk, soul, swing/jump, blues and Latin jazz are on the menu for Georgina Cole Library’s free concert presenting the Taryn Donath Duo on Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m. Featuring Taryn Donath on keyboards and Marcus Bashore on drums, the duo is known for their spontaneous and unique mix of jazz styles.

Carlsbad resident Donath is an accomplished musician who has been performing professionally for nearly 20 years. She’s appeared at many festivals including the San Diego Blues Festival, Santa Monica Blues Festival and San Francisco Jazz Festival and performed everywhere from House of Blues to Belly Up Tavern to the Derby in Hollywood.

In a San Diego Reader review for Donath’s new CD, Gardenia, Donath is praised as a “seasoned and engaging performer… (who) builds moments that result in pure listening entertainment…”
