Enter the Vista Strawberry Festival Poster Contest

Artists throughout San Diego County have visions of strawberries dancing in their heads as they complete their original poster designs for the 2014 Vista Strawberry Festival Contest.

The winning design will become the iconic image for the 2014 Festival. It will be displayed on posters and featured in related publicity. The first-place winner will receive $250. Cash prizes also will be awarded to second-place, third-place and people’s choice.

The first-place winner and runners-up will be announced on May 25, 2013 by contest coordinator ArtBeat on Main Street. The designs will be displayed at the Gallery on 330 Main Street in downtown Vista during the 2013 Vista Strawberry Festival taking place on May 26, 2013. The Festival is presented by the Vista Chamber of Commerce and sponsors, including Art Beat.

ArtBeat co-owners Kris Petersen and Kait Matthews, who are helping to judge the contest, say they have received some outstanding entries and look forward to receiving more.  They note, “As visitors to our eclectic Gallery well know, creativity flourishes in our region.
