Encinitas Garden Festival & Tour

The seventh annual Encinitas Garden Festival and Tour features a self-guided walking tour of more than 20 private gardens in a hidden corner of Leucadia. Residents will open their garden gates to welcome the public for this special one-day tour.

The Gardener’s Marketplace serves as the central hub of the festival.  In the Marketplace, vendors offer unusual plants, vegetable seedlings, garden art, and more.  Exhibitors and guest speakers provide information about gardening around San Diego.  They cover topics such as fruit and vegetable gardening, low water and sustainable gardening, garden art, composting with worms, gardening with children, and school gardens.

The 2012 tour features a hidden corner of Leucadia where garden tourists will stroll through a tropical oasis filled with rare plants, a private sanctuary garden with French touches, a historic Spanish home and garden, a canyon-side garden with stunning views of habitat and ocean, along with several artists’ gardens.
