Free Family Art Day, Make Spring Bloom

Make Spring bloom at Oceanside Museum of Art at the next Free Family Art Day. Create beautiful flower sculptures out of a variety of fun materials. Inspired by two of the current exhibitions in the museum, Botanicals: The Photography of Imogen Cunningham, and Islands of Color: Polynesian Quilts, children and their families are encouraged to learn about the floral imagery on view and design unique floral sculptures that reflect their individuality. There will be three activities to engage children of all ages. No art experience is required for the art activities. Healthy refreshments are provided.

At Free Family Art Day children and their parents work closely in the artistic process designing small works of art that reflect concepts and themes from the exhibitions on view. All art activities and Free Family Art Day is made possible by Rady Children’s Hospital and the James Irvine Foundation. For information about the museum or to volunteer at Free Family Art Day call 760.435.3720 or visit www.oma-online.org.
