Summer Music Camp

Are you looking for a summer day-camp for your child that combines instrument instruction and learning with group performance and fun?  Then the Museum of Making Music’s Summer Music Camp is the perfect fit!  Designed for children ages nine through 18, the Summer Music Camp is a great opportunity to jump-start a child’s music lessons or enhance existing musical talent.  The camp features ensemble-based learning complemented by small-group breakout sessions.  Leading the camp for the sixth year is Ed Roscetti, a Los Angeles drummer, composer, author and educator.  Campers gain experience on drumset, hand drums, hand percussion, bass, guitar and piano.

All levels of experience are welcome.  General admission for the five-day camp is $210, and $195 for Museum members.  The week of musical play and rehearsal builds to a final show where all students have the chance to share what they’ve learned in a lively concert for friends and family on Friday, July 22 at noon.  Instruments are provided but campers are free to bring their own instruments as well.
