Get Out: Weekend Happenings

Your Patch guide to happiness

If the rain and odd May chill have you down in the dumps this week, you need a pick-me-up more than ever. It's not due to be a warm weekend, but it's going to be a sunny one. Yea!

Let us guide you to what's happening in Carlsbad, San Diego and beyond from May 19 to 25. You can enjoy a tasty night out in Cardiff, a big weekend at the San Dieguito Heritage Museum, complete with food and the arts, and have a rare close encounter with lagoon birds.

On a serious note, you also may join in with local police officers as they hold a rally to support the family of an officer who died in the line of duty.
