Imitation Banksy Removed in Oceanside
The large rat street art on the side of Bull Taco in Oceanside caused much speculation that it was done by the famous street artist Banksy.
On Feb. 25, a showed up on Bull Taco in Oceanside. Banksy was rumored to be in Southern California for the Oscars that weekend.
The street artist's publicist later confirmed it wasn't his work.
The North County Times reports the city of Oceanside painted over it on Wednesday after speaking with the taco shop's owner to "determine whether or not the owner wanted it there. If the artwork was unwanted, it would be considered graffiti and would need to be removed."

The newspaper reports the owner decided he did not want the mural, so city workers removed it.
