Ah, the so-called Carlsbad Scramble! I've lived here since June 1 and I often thought a couple of things about the Scramble:
1 - It was a brilliant idea and should be instituted elsewhere in the city;
2 - The City could have built up its coffers immensely just my ticketing all those drivers who ignore or don't even see the "No Turn on Red" sign.

Now the plan is to put a flashing light up to indicate "No Turn on Red" and also it won't flash when no one is in the crosswalk so you can turn on red then. I wonder how it's gonna know that? I mean are they gonna hire someone to switch the light off if the crosswalk is empty and if I'm in it and they don't have someone there will there be a motion detector or what's up with that? LOL
At any rate, I like the idea of the diagonal cross and to whomever dreamed that one up, as they say in soccer, "Well done!"
