It's cold, it's raining and there really isn't much reason to spend a lot of time outdoors this weekend. So, what to do?
Well, like golf or not, just for the location watch some of the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Here's the schedule: Saturday - 10 a.m., Golf Channel; noon, CBS; Sunday - ditto.
The tournament is played over three courses: Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hills Golf Course and Monterey Peninsula Country Club.
And this is one tournament where golf definitely takes second place. You might enjoy the golf, but what you will delight in is the magnificent locale. Sorry, Torrey Pines but this site trumps you.
First time you see Big Sur, which is right down the street (sorta) from Pebble Beach, you will have the same feeling I did, I'm pretty sure. And that feeling? "If we ever mess this up God is coming back and he's really gonna be upset!"
