Idol, sports and a newbie to Carlsbad...

This blog just might have something for everyone - American Idol, sports and the world of Carlsbad through the eyes of a new resident.

Go figure ... a blog focusing on American Idol (yes, I have done just that for the past five AI seasons), sports (yes, I was in the newspaper world for 42 years with 6 different papers including the old SD Evening Tribune as sports editor) and the world of Carlsbad through the eyes of a new resident (where are all those pelicans headed and how much faster is the Amtrak train going than the Coaster?).

So, in my semi-retirement we are going to have a llittle fun here.  We will give you a lot of info on Idol if you care, we'll try to figure out the wide world of sports from the Lancers (how did they get that nickname?) to the Chargers (yes, I was there when the Niners drilled them in the Super Bowl) and we'll look at C-Bad in a way that only a Baby Boomer from West Virginia can.

And along the way I'll share with you some of the pics I've taken. In another life I would have loved to have been a photographer.

And if you have questions, just ask and I'll try to find an answer for you.

'...MPH degree program to attend a 3-day workshop ... challenge the CNA licensure examination inRead More California.... ... Aristotle felt that by becoming licensed professionals in the U.S. shortly after their arrival to the shores of the U.S., they would have a greater opportunity to receive better clinical positions when they applied for the work-study internships that they were eligible to participate in....' the school told students that were enrolled in masters' degrees that certification as a cna was part of the road to obtaining a masters degree ?? stop right there... masters in public health is an administrative position that has nothing to do with being a cna....and i'm sure people didn't travel thousands of miles to do the grunt work in a hospital.... yea, getting a cna license is a great suggestion for an 18 year old that's going into the nursing field....but not for someone in the masters' program.... and fyi phony college.....in this country a person has to have a 4 year degree before they can apply for the masters' program....
