Funny how sports works sometimes. Like Wednesday night when San Diego State's men's basketball team beat Boise State, 63-62, on a last-second three-point shot.
The win, coming when a loose ball rolled right to Chase Tapley who then made the shot from just beyond the arc, leaves SDSU with a 17-5 overall and 5-3 Mountain West Conference record.
And sometimes a win like that gives a team the impetus for a wild run through the end of the season and far into the tournament. When March Madness is settled will the Aztecs look on this win as a turning point?
