In another sign of an improving real estate market, an article in the San Diego Daily Transcript reported that movers are seeing an increase in their business.
The article quoted several movers throughout San Diego County as saying that their business is up over last year, in some cases as much as 35%. In addition, some of the movers said that their business is up not only locally but nationally as well.
I have always said that if you want to see what the market is doing, check on the business that feed off of the real estate business. That is, how are the movers, appraisers, and property inspectors doing? That will give good insight on the overall health of the real estate market. If you do that, you’ll see that the real estate market is indeed on the upswing.
