Gretchen and Lisa Bender, the Salty Sisters, founded Sea Salt Candy Co. in 2011 in Leucadia. After selling their handcrafted, all natural, gluten-free sweets at local farmers' markets, they started to gain a following.
On June 14, the sisters were opening their first retail store location in Vista to the public. Everyone is invited to a grand opening celebration at Sea Salt Candy located at 1910 Shadowridge Drive, Vista, CA 92081 from 10a.m. to 5p.m. There will be music, food, refreshments, opportunity drawings, and plenty of Salty Sisters toffee and caramel.
I tasted their Pure Toffee Salted Bliss and it give my stamp of approval, along with the salted white chocolate ginger caramel. I definitely will be back to try more.
