Carlsbad Man Creates DVD that Turns TV into a Christmas Ornament

Paul Rhines worked for five years to develop, refine, test view, package the "Magic of Christmas DVD" and bring it to market.

Carlsbad businessman Paul Rhines couldn't attend his sister-in-law's holiday party in New York five years ago so he created and sent her a five minute DVD with Christmas animations, music and a holiday message for her to play on repeat during her party.  He got a call from her the next day saying everyone loved the DVD. "The following year I spent creating the product," explained Rhines.

Here is more from Rhines about the DVD that he made created in La Costa featuring Carlsbad residents.

Carlsbad Patch: Tell us about "The Magic of Christmas" DVD.

Paul Rhines: The DVD turns your TV into a full motion musical Christmas ornament.  It includes 24 classic holiday favorite songs choreographed to brilliant scenes of the Christmas season that evoke feelings of the Christmas spirit in everyone who is in a room where it is playing.

Carlsbad Patch: Why would someone buy this?

Paul Rhines: It is made to be played "in the background." When people play the DVD it changes the environment dramatically adding a very Christmas-y feel to the whole event.

It is designed to be used during every part of the holiday season including parties, family events, gift exchanges, while wrapping presents or trimming the tree, Christmas eve and Christmas morning.

It also makes a stunning addition to outdoor displays using any consumer level projector.

Carlsbad Patch: How much is the DVD and how can Carlsbad residents purchase it?

Paul Rhines: It's $19.97 two, one to use and one to gift. They can be purchased at videoforchristmas.com.
