Carlsbad's Life Technologies Considering Sale

The company's market value is $10.5 billion.

Carlsbad-based Life Technologies Corp. announced Friday that it is considering a sale.

The company said it has hired Deutsche Bank Securities and Moelis & Co. "to assist in its annual strategic review."

The company's market value is $10.5 billion and has approximately 10,400 people. LIFE had sales of $3.7 billion in 2011, according to a statement.
