Best in Show

Picture this: a crisp autumn breeze, a glowing sunset, a nicely aged glass of wine, and a group of the most charismatic friends on four legs.

Yes, you read correctly…four legs. At the Wine Pub in Point Loma, owner Sandy Hanshaw knows that moments like this are best shared with those closest to you, including your canine companions. Known for their dog-friendly atmosphere, including a unique doggie menu, the Wine Pub is opening their doors to a new breed of event every Sunday in October.

Beginning on October 7th from 5 to 6 PM, the Wine Pub will be fetching for the best pooches in a special Best of Show competition, where guests are allowed to enter one dog in one category to compete for either the best hairstyle, the dog that looks most like their owner, best trick, or best outfit. A panel of exceptional judges will then pick a semi-finalist for each category on October 7th, 14th, and 21st.

The Best of Show contest will conclude on Sunday, October 28th for the finals, where one hound will reign supreme in each category, with barking rights of “Best of Show.”
