First Groundbreaking at Tri-City Medical Center in Almost 20 Years

Tri-City is celebrating 50 years caring for the communities of Oceanside, Vista and Carlsbad.

The first major project in almost two decades at Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside took place Oct. 14 as ground was broken on the new 57,466 square-foot medical office.

The first ceremonial shovels of dirt were tossed on the site of the new, state-of-the-art "green" building which will house physician offices and the Orthopaedic and Spine Institute.

Business, civic, and elected officials from the community were on hand as were Tri-City Hospital District Board members, the executive team and physicians. Tri-City Hospital District Board Chairperson RoseMarie Reno said this new building is significant because it will put a new, modern face on the medical center.
