Huffington Gives Patch a Shout-Out on 'Real Time with Bill Maher'

Arianna Huffington appeared on Maher's show Friday and mentioned the importance and hyperlocal outreach of Patch.com.

As we , Patch's parent company, AOL, recently acquired The Huffington Post.

The deal cost $315 million and gave Huffpo co-founder Arianna Huffington the editor-in-chief seat of the newly formed Huffington Post Media Group, which will include all Huffington Post and AOL content, including Patch, Engadget, TechCrunch, Moviefone, MapQuest, Black Voices, PopEater, AOL Music, AOL Latino, AutoBlog, StyleList and more.

Huffington appeared on an episode of Real Time With Bill Maher Friday and discussed, among other things, local news reach and Patch.com. Here's what she had to say about Patch (at about the 4:35 mark of the show):
