New Coffee Kiosk Opens at Carlsbad City Library
Cafecito offers library patrons coffee, tea, smoothies, baked goods and more.
Carlsbad City Library announces the opening of Cafecito, the new coffee kiosk located in the courtyard of the library on Dove Lane. Cafecito serves coffee, tea, espresso drinks, smoothies, juices, baked goods, snacks and more.
Cafecito is owned and operated by local barista and North County resident Belinda Canez. This is Cafecito’s second location, complementing their first home at the Oceanside Pier.
“We’re excited to be part of this dynamic environment,” Canez said. “We will help embrace the library as a cultural space and make it even more hospitable.”

A grand opening celebration featuring drink sampling and live music is planned for Saturday, Jan. 14 at 1 p.m.
Cafecito hours will be based on patron demand. Current hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Library patrons may enjoy food and covered drinks inside the library.
