Panera Bread is now open in North Carlsbad at 2521 Palomar Airport Rd.
Southern California’s newest Panera Bread location has also teamed up with the Scripps Health Foundation to help raise funds to support advanced clinical research, expand facilities and provide health programs for community members that may not be able to access them.
Beginning this month, Panera Bread will donate all customer Community Breadbox™ donations at the new bakery-cafe to the Scripps Health Foundation, which goes to fund various medical programs including providing life-saving mammograms to women who might not otherwise discover breast cancer until it’s too late. The Community Breadbox program ensures that cash donations made at Panera Bread feed back into the area to provide for community members seeking medical treatment.
For years, Panera has donated unsold bread and baked goods to local Southern California hunger relief organizations through its Day-End Dough-Nation™ and Community Breadbox™ programs. Last year, Panera Bread bakery-cafes nationally donated a retail value of approximately $100 million worth of unsold bread and baked goods through its Day-End Dough-Nation™ program to help neighbors in need.
The new North Carlsbad bakery-cafe features menu favorites such as the Chicken Cobb Salad with Avocado, Bacon Turkey Bravo Sandwich, Cuban Chicken Panini, and new offerings like the Roasted Turkey Harvest Wheatberry Salad and Vegetarian Autumn Squash Soup.
Regular store hours are Monday—Saturday, 6 a.m.—9 p.m. and Sundays 7 a.m.—8 p.m.
