Hmmm. Moving into a tilt-up mega-facility, and putting their product in a can. Our finest microbrewery is evolving back into the very thing that inspired its creation. Giant beer corporations. Bud. Coors. Miller... Are they trying a move into a hipster kind of retro packaging?...or what? The idea of drinking Pizza Port beer from a can is revolting and I'm sad to see this generic, monstrous development overshadowing a nimble and creative brewery.

To bad its revolting to you. We still have all the creativity at the pubs but want to share our beer with more folks everywhere. The can is an awesome way to package beer for distributtion. We are hardly evolving into the beer giants you mention and am sorry you dont have more faith in us. We produce beers that we love to drink and nothing will be overshadowed. We hold strong our values and this facility will produce nothing on the magnitude of lthe larger breweries. I do differ in my opinion because of Sierra Nevada. They have always produced great beers in bottles, cans, kegs, whatever and I cannot stress enough the absolute awesomeness of all the brewers at the pubs. Open your mind and think great things. That's what I do. Do not think for a minute we will sacrifice quality or cost of ingredients. Have you had any of the great beer available in cans lately? They are amazing and it is a great package for the quality of the beer. Not to mention better for the environment and easy to take places bottles cant go. Sometimes you have to take a step back in your mind to realize it is a step forward. I am so excited about this project and I hope everybody else is too!! Vince Marsaglia beer loving human

I think the canned product should be called BressiBeer!

JC...There is a lot of fun and creativity going into the new building. I think you will be pleasantly surprised when we open (hopefully in April 2013) As for cans...go buy a six pack of Sierra Pale or Torpedo. Go camping, boating, to the beach (where legal) and you will see cans are awesome! The can is also superior to the bottle in not letting uv rays in to skunk the beer. Have faith bro!

Cans are better than bottles for a number of reasons. The largest contributor to off flavors in bottles is light. Cans eliminate this. They are lighter so they can be shipped cheaper and they are great for hikes, the beach, pools, etc. Cans are a far superior medium to bottles.

So glad pizza port is canning. We always take a few beers backpacking but bottles are way to heavy. Bottles are just a pain to deal with plus I think the beer is better out of the can. You guys are in a great spot too, not mixed in with all the chaos of trader joes and stater bros.
