Planning Commission Approves Staybridge Suites and Holiday Inn Near Carlsbad Airport

The Carlsbad Planning Commission approved construction plans for two three-story hotels, with a total of 239 rooms, at a site near McClellan-Palomar Airport.

According to San Diego Business Journal, "Alps Innovation LLC of Solana Beach plans to develop a 106-room Staybridge Suites and a 133-room Holiday Inn on a 9.19-acre site. The property is located south of Palomar Airport Road, east of Innovation Way, and west of Colt Place, within the larger Bressi Ranch master plan."

The hotels would share a pool, basketball court and putting green, reoported the U-T San Diego.

"The hotels are expected to primarily draw customers from an estimated 300,000 passengers who will pass through the airport next year when California Pacific Airlines is scheduled to begin operations," said the U-T.
