The salad chain ousted CEO Michael Mack in hopes of finding better ways to promote its fresh and healthy brand.

The parent company of salad chain Souplantation has ousted its CEO in search of a "fresh approach," according to the North County Times.

Michael Mack had led Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp. for years, but the leadership of the private equity firm that bought the company in 2005 felt more needed to be done to promote the brand.
