Valitar Tent Finally Being Removed

Crews worked this week to take down the large red Valitar tent, which can been seen from Interstate 5, after the show abruptly closed three months ago.

Valitar was cancelled months ago, but the big red tent is finally coming down at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Crews continued to disassemble the tent on Thursday morning after it sold for $85,000 at auction late last month.

Absolute Power, a company out of Huntington Beach, placed the winning bid, according to Fox 5 San Diego.

The huge tent is going to take another $250,000 to take it down, ABC 10 News

The buyer told ABC on Jan. 30 that it was supposed to have the tent off the fairgrounds property in 10 days, which would mean Saturday, Feb. 9.

The producers of the equine show abruptly cancelled all shows shortly after opening night in November. Producers have since filed for bankruptcy.

It was weird seeing that thing still up during the Electric Run.
