Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Carlsbad and San Diego

We've got a list of some fun and local events to hit up on May 5.

Cinco de Mayo is held each year as a celebration of Mexican heritage, culture and pride. Its history goes back to The Day of the Battle of Puebla, when Mexico became victorious over the French in the aftermath of the Mexican-American War.

It’s celebrated in the United States and is especially apparent here in San Diego, where we’re rich with Mexican-American culture.

Wondering of how you’re going to spend your Cinco de Mayo? We’ve got plenty of options all over the county—whether you’re into live music, festivals, history and, of course, tequila, there’s something for you. If beer's more your thing, we highly suggest this activity.
