Bella D'ora Holiday Hair, Make-up How-To Nights

CARLSBAD – The bow. The bouffant bun. The 4-messy-braids updo. These are some of the hottest hair styles of the holiday season, and Bella D’ora Spa – which recently launched the first Braid & Pony Bar in the San Diego region – will offer a fun-filled how-to night to teach women how to achieve these trending looks.

“Sophisticated braids, pony tails and modern buns continue to dominate the red carpet and runways right now, and many women think the looks are impossible to achieve without a stylist,” said Christine Alvarado, co-owner of Bella D’ora Spa. “Our Holiday How-To nights will give women the tools to create gorgeous and trendy looks from the comfort of their own homes.”

Stylists at the award-winning salon will work one-on-one with guests to teach them how to flip, clip, pin and maneuver their hair into these super-cute styles, just in time for the Christmas party season. What’s more, the evening comes complete with gourmet refreshments, and guests walk away with a goodie bag filled with spa products worth more than $45.

A how-to night for holiday make-up trends – including how to get that dramatic eye just right – is also on tap, to be hosted by make-up artist to the stars Amanda Fonseca. Guests will walk away with the tips and tools they need to achieve jaw-dropping Christmastime looks, as well as walk away with a gift bad filled with Mud-brand make-up worth more than $100.

The hair how-to, which costs $25, is slated for 6:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 22 at the spa, 2386 Faraday Avenue. The make-up how-to is set for 6:45 to 8 p.m. Nov. 15 at the spa, and costs $55 per person.
