Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad Scores Hole In One With 62nd Annual Golf Classic

Preliminary numbers indicate that the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad raised just over $100,000 at its annual fundraising golf tournament held April 24 at Aviara Golf Club

TaylorMade Golf Company was honored for their many years of collaboration, as reflected in the tournament’s theme “Clubs for a Brighter Future,” and CEO Mark King served as the Honorary Chair. Other major sponsors included Forte For Children, NRG, Interior Specialists, ThermoFisher, Retirement Solutions and Hudson Printing.

A special bonus was given to sponsors … in addition to the tournament itself, sponsors  attended a VIP Pre-Event Party held on April 17 at TaylorMade’s exclusive Kingdom (which is open only to touring pros). Guests participated in contests, took advantage of shopping opportunities at TMaG’s employee store, dined on delicious taste treats courtesy of West Steakhouse & Seafood, and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Matching the sunny skies, the mood was bright as golfers enjoyed a great day of golf, contests, delicious meals provided by Bistro West and the Aviara Golf Maintenance team, and specialty spirits provided by several microbreweries.

The day concluded with an awards happy hour where all the day’s winners were recognized.

“The success of this tournament is a result of astounding contributions from so many individuals and companies throughout North County,” said Randy Ferren of California Bank & Trust, Steering Committee Chair. “While the day presented so many winners, we are pleased that the kids are the ultimate winners – and benefit from this generosity.”
